On Thursday, Sept. 11, the Human Rights Advocates of Coos County held a play reading at the Dolphin Playhouse in Coos Bay. It was called “Project Unspeakable” and it explores the importance of the 1960s assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and Malcolm X in the shaping of the state of human rights today. Rick Staggenborg tells reporter Tim Novotny that, while it speaks to conspiracy theorists, the goal is just to encourage people to speak.
