This month’s Clifford’s Dream Giveaway, a monthly clothes giveaway at the Lakeside Lions Club, will be a back-to-school giveaway, Sunday through Thursday, Aug. 24 to 28. It will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday and Thursday.
Organizers hope to have clothing, school supplies and lunch supplies.
Donations are being taken. Needed items include basic school supplies, backpacks, lunchboxes, hygiene supplies and lunch supplies. All non-perishable food items except tuna also are needed. Monetary donations also will be accepted.

For the month of August, the North Bend Public Library will show the film “Colorado” at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27. The library is located at 1800 Sherman Ave.
The film features Rocky Mountain National Park with scenes of Pikes Peak from the cog railway, Denver, Winterpark/Cripple Creek and sheepdogs as they master the sheep.
