The Harbor Lights cross country team had a great showing in the Woahink Invitational on Saturday, with the girls winning and boys finishing second among 10 complete teams, most from bigger towns.

In the girls meet, Holly Hutton led the Panthers with a sixth-place finish, finishing the 3,000-meter course in 12 minutes and 38 seconds. Olivia Thompson was eighth (12:57), Analise Miller 10th (13:16), Aunika Miller 11th (13:22), Danielle McLain 20th (13:57), Alyssa Duenas 46th (15:21), Rachel Eickhoff 48th (15:22), Kylie Barker 55th (15:47) and Kylie Dornath 109th (20:50).

The Harbor Lights boys finished second to North Bend.

Trevor Angove was sixth (11:17), Carter Brown 10th (11:31), Patton Clark 11th (11:40), Chase Barker 13th (11:48), Daniel Cabrera 16th (12:03), Owen Brown 26th (12:30), Charlie Ells 34th (12:41), William Panagakis 48th (13:25), Elijah Hester 87th (15:00), James Curran 91st (15:06), Andrew Robertson 83rd (15:11), Logan France 94th (15:12), Zack Robertson 102nd (15:29) and Sean Ells 120th (16:54).

Earlier in the season, the Harbor Lights girls also were first and boys second at both the North Bend and Driftwood invitationals.

In the Harbor Lights Invitational at Sheep Ranch last week, Harbor Lights swept the team titles with the boys edging North Bend by the sixth-runner tiebreaker after they both finished with 34 points. Both the Harbor Lights sixth and seventh runners finished ahead of North Bend’ sixth runner. Trevor Angove won that meet in 10:58 and Hutton was second in the girls race (12:31) behind Coquille’s Allison Storts (12:15).

The seven scoring runners for Harbor Lights in the boys race included Angove, Carter Brown (fifth in 11:15), Clark (sixth in 11:34), Chase Barker (eighth in 11:48), Cabrera (14th in 12:16), Owen Brown (17th in 12:29) and Panagakis (19th in 12:36).

The seven scoring runners for the Harbor Lights girls were Hutton, Thompson (fourth in 12:38), Analilse Miller (fifth in 12:53), Aunika Miller (seventh in 13:13), McLain (12th in 14:06), Duenas (18th in 14:59) and Kylie Barker (29th in 15:32).
