Bandon’s baseball team is off to a 3-0 start to Sunset Conference play after beating Myrtle Point 18-1 on Tuesday.
That followed a 9-6 win over Gold Beach and a 9-0 win over Bandon last week.
Against Myrtle Point, Cayton Sinay had two hits, including a double. Adam Basey also had two hits and Ethan Pounder had two RBIs.
Matt Yarbor had three hits and also pitched the final inning. Jason Wilhite and Yarbor combined on a one-hitter in the victory.
The biggest plus for Bandon coach Jay Ferrell was being able to get all 15 of his players into the game for multiple innings.
The Tigers now enter a difficult stretch, including a nonleague game Friday at St. Paul, the first of two showdowns with Reedsport on the road Tuesday and a nonleague game against North Douglas and a home game against Siletz Valley next Thursday and Friday.
The softball team, meanwhile, is 0-3 in league, losing to Gold Beach 27-17, Waldport 22-0 and Myrtle Point 7-0.
The only hit for the Tigers in the game with Myrtle Point was by Allison Hennick.
