This year's “Christmas for the Less Fortunate” event at Billy Smoothboar's Restaurant was our best attended in the five years we have put on the event. It is evident to us by the attendance that our celebration of Christmas for our children of Bandon has become a tradition for many families.
Lynn, our daughter Brandi and I could not be more blessed by a greater gift then seeing the wide-eyed children having a great Christmas experience eating, playing games, receiving gifts and sitting on Santa’s lap.
With that being said, none of this could have been possible without the generous contributions from our Bandon community. From the citizens that dropped off numerous toys, to the wonderful ladies that knitted and handed out “one of a kind” hats to every person that wanted one, to the many residents and businesses that contributed to us monetarily. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!
The contributors that I was able to keep track of are as follows (not in any certain order. There were a few “anonymous” contributors also… thank you!): Carlotta and Peter Mortenson, Geri and John Procetto, Tracy and Gary Gasper, the Martino Family, Tammy and Mark Morton, Hunter Finch, Fred Gernandt, Barry Winters, Joanne Nichols, Carrie Arellano, the Straley family, Laurie Kruetzer, Eichelberger and Co., Katherine Porina, Nancy Houghtlaing, Jill Mortenson, Karen, Bernie and Maggie, Sarah Belcher family, Bandon IOOF No. 33, Lions Club of Bandon, Bandon Quilt Club, Eric Albertson, Eileen and Lexus for your gift wrapping skills, Terry Fox, Sarah Sinko and a special thanks to Freedom Graphics.
If I missed you or misspelled your name, I apologize.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.
Dan, Lynn and Brandi Barnett
