BANDON - The Southern Coos Health Foundation has received a matching donation for the Together for Bandon’s Health year-end campaign. An anonymous donor has agreed to match all donations up to a total amount of $30,000.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for donors to double their impact as they make their year-end contribution decisions," said Foundation Executive Director Scott McEachern.
Together for Bandon’s Health is a campaign that will increase the capacity of Southern Coos Hospital to serve the community, McEachern added. The matching contribution gives Southern Coos Health Foundation a boost as its raise funds to replace 22 IV pumps and an outdated anesthesia monitor in the operating suite.
"These upgrades will benefit our staff and community by providing them safe, reliable and up-to-date patient care equipment," McEachern said.
IV pumps form the backbone of the hospital's care. With the replacement of 22 units in the emergency department, medical-surgical floor and the operating suite, Southern Coos Hospital staff will have increased confidence in the equipment they are using for patient care.
As SCHHC continues to develop healthcare services for Bandon and the southern Oregon coast, it is building the infrastructure of its surgical department. The addition of a new anesthesia monitor will allow the surgery team to perform more surgeries than ever before.
