Nov. 20

6:23 a.m., welfare check in the 53000 block of Beach Loop Road.

9:14 a.m., female city employee requesting officer assistance.

9:41 a.m., assist Myrtle Point Police Department in the 200 block of Ash Street. Paged Myrtle Point ambulance. Assistance rendered.

1:04 p.m., dog at large in the area of Seventh Street Northeast and Michigan Avenue Northeast.

1:20 p.m., harassment reported in the Bandon area.

1:33 p.m., patrol request in the 200 block of Ninth Street Southeast.

6:22 p.m., dog at large in the area of Beach Loop and 11th Street.

7:30 p.m., dog at large in the 1400 block of Ginkgo Court. Unable to locate owner, caller will keep dog for the night.

Nov. 21

9:10 a.m., man in the 1800 block of Beach Loop digging in cliff with pick ax on beach below Sunset Lodging. Advised to stop.

9:58 a.m., loud music reported in the 1100 block of Beach Loop.

2:47 p.m., ongoing problem in the 1200 block of June Avenue with juveniles making threats. Contacted caller, investigation continuing.

3:28 p.m., assisted ODFW on Bandon beach.

6:10 p.m., intoxicated male pulled into caller’s driveway in the 88000 block of Bill Creek Lane and said he lived there. Checked area, unable to locate.

Nov. 22

2:50 a.m., male at police department to turn himself in on a warrant. Arrested Anthony Ornelas, 24, of Bandon, on a charge of probation violation. Taken to Coos County jail.

10:56 a.m., harassment reported in the 1100 block of Second Street Northeast.

11:42 a.m., officer enroute to Coos Bay area for dog training.

12:59 p.m., Southern Coos Hospital reports helicopter will be landing in 49 minutes. Handled.

1:18 p.m., anonymous man on non-emergency line advised that people are cutting wood at the South Jetty. People told to get a permit.

3:32 p.m., enroute to warn woman in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue regarding criminal mischief to public property. Handled.

7:08 p.m., woman on cell in the area of 11th and Jackson Southwest complained of a vehicle driving up and down 11th Street near the City Park. Located vehicle parked, unoccupied.

Nov. 23

1:04 a.m., woman at residence in the 900 block of 13th Street Southwest refusing to leave. Woman taken to 10th Street.

12:11 p.m., elderly abuse reported in the 1100 block of Eighth Street Northeast. Referred to Department of Human Services.

12:39 p.m., road rage incident in the area of U.S. Highway 101 and Riverside Drive, person rear-ended caller, who is driving a 2008 Lexus, they are both pulled over along the highway, could hear argument starting while on 911. Both parties cited.

Nov. 24

9:05 a.m., manager of Hwy Deli, 1355 Oregon Ave., reports a woman in the store refusing to leave who was told a year ago that she wasn’t allowed in the store. Woman told to leave the location.

4:28 p.m., woman on cell from South Jetty reports an older woman in a wheelchair was hit by a car, not injured, did not fall out of chair. Woman escorted back to Heritage Place, will follow up with her doctor.

4:43 p.m., suicidal person in the 49000 block of U.S. Highway 101.

5 p.m., suspicious conditions in the 1200 block of Harlem Street.

Nov. 25

3:57 p.m., theft of services reported in the 600 block of 10th Street Southwest, reported by officer. Victim didn’t want to pursue charges, subjects warned for theft of services and criminal mischief.

5:37 p.m., anonymous woman called to report smoke coming from side of cheese factory, 680 Second Street Southeast. Was steam vent.

6:37 p.m., person with a generator creating a loud noise in the area of First Street Southeast. Just looking for a place to park for the night.

7:35 p.m., theft reported in the 900 block of 13th Street Southwest. Report taken.

7:44 p.m., caller in the 800 block of Oregon Avenue could hear what sounded like someone walking around her house. No signs of anyone around the residence.

Nov. 27

11:20 a.m., warrant service at 388 Fillmore Ave., arrested Michael Heikka, 49, of Bandon on a Josephine County Sheriff Office warrant charging parole violation, driving while suspended. Taken to Coos County jail.

1:48 p.m., multiple calls on single vehicle non-injury accident just north of Bandon Dunes entrance at milepost 256 on U.S. Highway 101. Call transferred to Bay Cities Ambulance and Oregon State Police, paged Bandon Fire Department. Assisted OSP.

4:25 p.m., citizen turned in drug paraphernalia to PD to be destroyed.

Nov. 28

2:04 p.m., caller in the 400 block of Bandon Avenue Southwest concerned regarding her daughter’s welfare. Called back to advise she reached her daughter at work.

5:48 p.m., mother-daughter dispute in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue, verbal only, all parties left the residence.

10 p.m., suspicious conditions in the area of 11th Street Southwest, woman had a fight with her boyfriend, was just taking a walk.

Nov. 29

2:09 a.m., woman calling from old Bandon Beach Motel to report a woman having some kind of attack, Bay Cities Ambulance already enroute to location, woman refused medical.

Nov. 30

12:04 p.m., drugs seized for destruction in the area of the Bandon Shopping Center, 66 Michigan Ave.

6:02 p.m., suspicious vehicle parked on Rosa Road at 13th Street. Owner contacted.

6:11 p.m., intoxicated person refusing to leave Driftwood Motel, 460 U.S. Highway 101, cited Robert Byrnes, 48, of Bandon, on a charge of criminal trespass.

7:23 p.m., assist requested for outside agency in the 58000 block of Seven Devils Road. Not as reported, subjects were there picking up an old pick-up that had to be towed.

10:05 p.m., woman at Lloyd’s, 219 Second St. S.E., refusing to leave the bar. Woman told to leave.

Dec. 1

1 p.m., criminal mischief reported in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue.

3:55 p.m., after casual contact in the area of 11th and Franklin, arrested Curtis Siemer, 38, of Bandon on a charge of probation violation. Taken to Coos County jail.

5:23 p.m., school gate open in roadway on Eighth Street. Gate secured.

Oregon State Police

Nov. 25, 10:02 a.m., OSP officers stopped the driver of a Ford Ranger for an alleged unreadable license plate. A records check revealed the driver had an outstanding statewide felony warrant for a parole violation on a weapon’s offense. Robert Lee Senn, 32, of Bandon, was taken into custody and lodged at the Coos County jail. Vehicle released to owner.

Nov. 25, 11:51 a.m., a Bandon man was cited on a charge of failing to yield the right of way following a collision on U.S. Highway 101. According to an OSP log, Leland Z. Bellet, 68, of Bandon, was driving a Ford Explorer on U.S. Highway 101 at milepost 281 when he tried to make a left turn. Bellet’s car collided with a Toyota Yaris driven by Crystal Sprague, 32, of Los Angeles, that was approaching in the northbound lane. The collision caused severe damage to the Yaris and moderate damage to the Explorer, but both vehicles were not drivable. A passenger in the Yaris reported minor back pain but refused medical attention, according to the log.
