BANDON - Bandon High School and Harbor Lights Middle School will hold spring concerts in the upcoming weeks.
The all-bands concert will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday March 8, in the BHS gym. It will feature bands from grades 5-12 and end with the BHS Jazz Band.
"This is a great opportunity to hear the bands of all levels and how they progress when they get older," said Bandon School District bands and BHS choir director Dave Weston.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, the all-choirs concert will be presented, featuring choirs in grades 5-12 at the BHS gym. The HLMS Marimba Band, under the direction of HLMS and Ocean Crest choir director Holly Sylvester, will perform. The HLMS Marimba Band has also been invited to play with the Hillcrest Marimba Band at the Pony Village Mall on Earth Day, Saturday, April 21.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, The Commanders Jazz Ensemble, a U.S. Air Force Band, will perform a free concert in the BHS gym. The BHS Jazz Band will open the show. The public is welcome to all of the concerts.
