Sept. 28

10 a.m., theft reported in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue. Pending until victim calls back, currently at work.

11 a.m., found property outside store at 22 Michigan Avenue, recovered a bag full of dried food in front of the store. 

1:59 p.m., abandoned vehicle at Eighth and Harrison, tagged for towing.

2:19 p.m., theft of purse reported from Pacific View Assisted Living, 1000 Sixth St. SW. Property located.

3:49 p.m., as the result of a traffic stop at U.S. Highway 101 and Elmira Avenue, report taken for theft of license plate. 

4:52 p.m., theft of wallet reported at Ray's Food Place, 66 Michigan Ave. Logged for information.

5:46 p.m., recovered bicycle in the 55000 block of Allegheny Road.

7:32 p.m., criminal trespassing reported in the 1200 block of Jackson Street. Cited Jordan Siemer of Bandon for criminal trespassing. Released.

11:19 a.m., civil problem, woman in lobby of City Hall requesting to speak with an officer. Handled.

Sept. 29

1:58 p.m., warrant service in the area of Face Rock and Beach Loop Drive. Anonymous woman reported location of wanted subjects. Arrested Alora Lee Lattimer, 25, of Bandon on an outstanding warrant charging probation violation and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Arrested Caitilin McCracken, 38, of Bandon on an outstanding warrant charging driving while under the influence of intoxicants. Arrested Brandon David Richards, 32, of Bandon on charges of hindering and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. All three taken to the Coos County Jail.

4:07 p.m., caller lost briefcase in the Bandon area on Wednesday, checked area, unable to locate. Logged for information,

8:12 p.m., warrant service in area of Beach Loop Drive and Face Rock, arrested Caitlin McCracken, 38, of Bandon on Coos County Sheriff's Office warrant. Taken to Coos County Jail. 

9:54 p.m., dispute at U.S. Highway 101 and Two Mile Road, caller is refusing to leave her car and significant other is the other person. No crime. 

10:23 p.m., probation violation in the 500 block of North Avenue. Unnamed person arrested and taken to Coos County Jail per probation officer.

Sept. 30

12:17 a.m., suspicious conditions in the 1100 block of Ohio Avenue, caller hears screeching tire noises and yelling. Unable to see anything. Checked area, unable to locate. 

7:25 a.m., report of hit and run that happened during the night in the parking lot of Southern Coos Hospital, 900 11th St. SE. Contacted caller, provided options.

8:09 a.m., illegal camping in the 800 block of Portland Avenue, bus camping across from caller's residence, making it difficult to pull out of her driveway. Advised they are staying overnight in area. Reporting party called back to say the bus left but an RV showed up. Called again to say the RV is now gone, requested patrol checks in evenings. Logged for information.

8:48 a.m., vehicle has been at location near Weber's Pier for the past two months. Contacted owner, handled.

1:02 p.m., caller in the 800 block of Franklin said subject has realtor at the residence and is not supposed to be there. Handled.

2:14 p.m., drug information, assistant manager at Dollar Tree, 120 Michigan Ave., who witnessed subjects selling drugs outside store. Unable to locate subjects, will be trespassed from store when located. 

2:51 p.m., as the result of a traffic stop, officer requested medical for woman, who was cited and released for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. 

5:49 p.m., Subject trying to start fight at the Shell station, 465 Second St. SE. Arrested Ryan Dwayan Burnam, 40, no address listed, on charge of disorderly conduct.

10:23 p.m., missing person reported in the 1200 block of June Avenue Southeast. Resident left this morning and has not returned. Reporting party called back, subject returned.

10:52 p.m., warrant service in the area of Michigan Avenue. As the result of suspicious circumstances, arrested Jeramie Lee Shilts, 28, of Coos Bay on Jackson County Sheriff's Office warrant charging unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Taken to Coos County Jail.

Oct. 1

12:47 a.m., animal complaint in the 1000 block of Fifth Street Northeast, caller reported ongoing issue of animals fighting since 9:30 p.m., possibly a raccoon. Requested patrol check. Logged for information.

1:14 a.m., dispute in the 1300 block of Oregon Avenue. Caller said man and woman are having a dispute in a black BMW in front of the Hwy Deli. Verbal only, driver will move the vehicle.

9:19 a.m., assisted with recovery of a stolen vehicle in North Bend. 

2:46 p.m., caller requested welfare check on his mother in the 87000 block of Bill Creek Lane. She is no longer staying at this address, was seen 20 minutes ago in town and was OK.

4:09 p.m., harassment reported in the 800 block of Chicago Avenue, intoxicated person yelling and cursing. Subject returned to room. 

4:12 p.m., report of assault in the area of 11th Street Southwest. Victim does not want to pursue charges.

5:15 p.m., caller lost purse yesterday at McKays, 65 10th St. SE. Entered as stolen. Report taken.

6:51 p.m., illegal camping reported in the 1000 block of Third Street Southeast at vacant lot. Subject contacted, is repairing vehicle. Advised he has permission to be there from property owner. Investigation continuing. 

8:21 p.m., suspicious subjects reported in the area of Michigan Avenue, two men in vacant residence across from credit union. Not a burglary. No power on at residence.

9:17 p.m., assisted outside agency with woman yelling at two daughters to get out in the 47000 block of Highway 101. Assistance rendered.

10:22 p.m., disturbance in the area of 10th Street Southeast, man and woman yelling at each other. Handled.

Oct. 2

5:05 a.m., business alarm sounding from the west center emergency door of the Bandon Shopping Center. Was not able to call reporting party back, but was able to get a hold of Ray's Food Place, who will reset alarm.

Oct. 5

7:29 a.m., as the result of a traffic stop at U.S. Highway 101 and 10th Street, cited person on charge of driving while suspended. Vehicle secured at scene.

7:52 a.m., theft reported in the area of Highway 101 and 19th Street, subject said license plate was stolen last night. Report taken for theft 3.

8:16 a.m., welfare check in the 1000 block of First Street. Vehicle involved with attempt to locate a suicidal subject. Subject contacted, handled. 

12:35 p.m., suspicious vehicle in the 60 block of Michigan Avenue. Suspect has California plates on front, Oregon plates on back.

1:36 p.m., direct report of bike theft in the area of the 200 block of Michigan Avenue. Not as reported, investigation continuing.

2:28 p.m., direct call of transient camp in the area of Second and June Avenue Northeast. Subjects contacted and advised to move on. Handled.

3:14 p.m., direct report of found drugs in the 60 block of Michigan Avenue. Seized for destruction.

3:16 p.m., assisted rendered for vehicle lock out in the area of 10th and Delaware.

4:14 p.m., sexual abuse reported in the Bandon area. Report taken for suspicious circumstances.

5:39 p.m., caller from Seaside said father is possibly en route to Bandon and is suicidal. Report taken by Seaside Police, logged for information.

5:57 p.m., citizen flagged down officer in the area of June and 11th Street. Handled.

6:17 p.m., illegal camping reported in the 900 block of First Street Southeast, attempt to locate transient camp. Handled. 

7:44 p.m., welfare check requested in the 1600 block of Harvard Street, caller said daughter is having a rough day and she was unable to get a hold of her. Reporting party called back, daughter is fine.

Oct. 6

1:17 a.m., casual contact with three subjects in the 1200 block of 11th Street Southwest.

7:51 a.m., checked area for possible suicidal subject from Seaside. Unable to locate subject or vehicle.

7:57 a.m., fraud reported in the 46000 block of U.S. Highway 101. Subject contacted and given Department of Justice fraud line phone number.

9:14 a.m., warrant service in the area of Highway 42S and Ohio Street. Arrested Fred Jonathan Smalley, 34, of Bandon, on a Josephine County warrant charging driving while suspended. Taken to Coos County Jail.

2:02 p.m., as the result of a traffic stop, arrested Brandon David Richards, 32, of Bandon, and Kami Marie Leach, 33, of Bandon on charges of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Richards also cited on charge of driving while suspended. Taken to Coos County Jail. 

6:36 p.m., abandoned vehicle reported in the 1000 block of Third Street Southeast, reporting party said a motor home has been at residence across the street for about a week and several transients are living in it, trash is piling up around it outside. Subjects contacted, said they will be gone tomorrow. No trash was around the motor home. 

6:37 p.m., harassment reported in the 1000 block of Fifth Street Northeast. Caller said daughter was pushed off her bike and hit in the face. Declined medical. Report taken.

7:45 p.m., report of drugs in the bathroom in the 1000 block of Oregon Avenue. Referred.

7:16 p.m, complaint of someone burning in the area of Newport and Eighth Street Southwest. Checked area, unable to locate.

4:49 p.m., disabled vehicle reported in the area of U.S. Highway 101 and Highway 42S, just south of the intersection. Assistance rendered.

11:12 p.m., unauthorized use of a motor vehicle reported in the area of First and Delaware, silver 2013 Range Rover. Called back, vehicle not stolen. 

Oct. 7

1:53 p.m., as the result of a traffic stop at mile post 2 on Whiskey Run Lane, cited person on a charge of driving while suspended. Also arrested David Blair Slosser, age 45 of Bandon, on a Bandon Police Department warrant charging possession of a controlled substance. Slosser taken to the Coos County Jail.

3:53 p.m., suspicious man in neighbor's backyard in the 500 block of Oregon Avenue. Caller does not think that neighbors are there. Checked area, unable to locate.

5:01 p.m., criminal trespassing in the 1000 block of Oregon Avenue. Subject is walking back and forth from the Fast Mart, yelling at people. Arrested Robbley James Ardoin, 56, of Bandon on a charge of criminal trespassing II. Taken to Coos County Jail.

6:23 p.m., criminal mischief reported in the 1000 block of Fifth Street Northeast. Caller said storm door may have been kicked in. Requested extra patrol checks in area. 

7 p.m., as the result of a traffic stop at Third and Michigan, cited driver on a charge of driving while suspended. Vehicle towed by North Bend Towing.

7:27 p.m., report of lost phone, possibly in Old Town area between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Logged for information.

Oct. 8

7:31 a.m., line handing low at 10th and Franklin. Everbridge notice sent to Bandon Power. Contacted phone company who will send someone out today.

8:40 a.m. game violation, anonymous man reports that three men are fishing behind the cheese factory, 680 Second St. SE. Subjects advised to fish elsewhere. 

12:59 p.m., out with subject making an assault report. Occurred in Crater Lake, given number to Klamath County.

9:24 a.m., out with wanted subject 1t 1865 Beach Loop. Arrested Caitlin McCracken, 38, of Bandon on two Coos County Sheriff's Office warrants. Taken to Coos County Jail. 

6:26 p.m., caller said husband lost wallet at Southern Coos Hospital. Contacted and handled.

11:29 p.m., man knocking at door in the 92000 block of Highway 42S, advised he fell into creek. 

Oct. 9

2:36 p.m., casual contact at Second Street and North Avenue, arrested Casey James Carlson, 29, no address listed, on probation officer detainer. Referred for possession of a controlled substance. Taken to Coos County Jail.

5:11 p.m., out with transient at Bandon Shopping Center, arrested Mark Daniel Corjulo, 26, of Connecticut, on an outstanding warrant. Taken to Coos County Jail.

6:35 p.m., caller requested civil stand by to retrieve child in the 1600 block of Oregon Avenue. Handled.

6:46 p.m., criminal trespassing in the 900 block of Oregon Avenue. Caller said it occurred earlier today but wants subject trespassed. Logged for information.

8:25 p.m., criminal trespassing in the 900 block of 11th Street Southeast, two subjects camping in the hospital parking lot. Checked area, unable to locate.

Oct. 10

6:46 a.m., deceased subject at Pacific View, 1000 Sixth St. SW. 

1:54 p.m., fire reported in the 800 block of Jackson Avenue. Caller reports gray smoke coming out of vent on roof of unoccupied residence, smoke getting worse. Checked area, city is smoke testing. Handled.

6:38 p.m., third-hand report of possible squatters in the 1000 block of Second Street Southeast. Handled.

Oct. 11

no time listed, report of an older man with a can and wearing dark clothing walking down road at 11th and Harlem. Caller is concerned regarding a traffic hazard. Subject advised to stay on sidewalk.

8 a.m., assisted outside agency with single vehicle accident of white Toyota pick-up with canopy at mile post 286 on Highway 101. Call transferred to Curry County.

8:49 a.m., direct report of subject going through mail on Astor Lane. Checked area.

10:05 a.m., deceased subject in the 1300 block of Eighth Street Southwest, woman called for assistance getting into house to husband. Male victim removed by mortuary.

6:53 p.m., animal complaint at mile post 276 on Highway 101, report of horse possibly stuck in the mud. Checked area, unable to locate.

Oct 16

7:55 a.m., complaint by anonymous caller of vehicle with loud exhaust sitting in front yard revving engine in the 700 block of Eighth Street Southwest. Vehicle left residence, logged for information.

11:39 a.m., as the result of a traffic at June Avenue and Division Street, arrested Christopher Lewis Sparkman, 32, of Bandon, on a probation officer detainer. Taken to Coos County Jail.

6 p.m., caller requested that Bandon Police Department assist with gas voucher in the 53000 block of Beach Loop Road. Contacted reporting party, advised of options. 

7:11 p.m., suspicious subject in the 100 block of 12th Street Southeast. Person is wearing white T-shirt and no shoes, looks like he is tweeking and having trouble. Contacted subject, he is not doing anything. 

8:41 p.m., prowler reported in the 200 block of Lexington Avenue. Caller doesn't want person bothering his grandmother this late at night.

Oct. 17

10:04 a.m., identity theft reported in the 200 block of Ninth Street. Caller requested number. Report taken.

1:45 p.m., subject driving by Fourth and Edison stopped for a small child unattended. While on the line, the mother took the child into a business. No further assistance needed.

2:54 p.m., attempt to locate subject in wooded area south of Harvard Street Apartments. Checked area, unable to locate.

5:40 p.m., caller requested assistance with lock out at Devil's Kitchen. Assistance rendered. 

Oct. 19

10:03 a.m., assisted citizen with vehicle lock out in the 1000 block of Fillmore Avenue. Courtesy escort provided to obtain spare keys. Handled.

10:11 a.m., multiple alarm activations from key pad in the 57000 block of Round Lake Drive. Called and advised to cancel, employee error. 

6:44 p.m., suspicious conditions at Whiskey Run/Seven Devils, caller reported ditch witch being stripped. Located U Haul, no one in or around vehicle, nothing has been touched.
