Oct. 20

7:32 a.m., man on cell advised there is a head-on collision, possibly involving four vehicles at mile post 285 on U.S. Highway 101. Transferred call to Oregon State Police, paged Bandon Fire Department. Assistance rendered.

1:13 p.m., caller in the 300 block of Lexington said a person is camping in their backyard and would like her to leave.

2:29 p.m., driving complaint at Harvard Street, caller said person has been cutting donuts in the dirt for the past 30 minutes. Checked area, unable to locate.

3:05 p.m., theft reported at McKay's, 65 10th Street SE. Caller does not want to be a victim. Subject trespassed from McKay's.

3:47 p.m., threats reported in the 1800 block of Beach Loop Road. Caller lives in California, owns property with suspect, will not be in town until February. Officer will follow up in caller tomorrow.

4:37 p.m., harassment reported, woman at City Hall, 555 Highway 101, requested officer contact regarding alleged harassment from towing company. Woman referred to Grants Pass, where crime occurred. 

6:21 p.m., suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of First Street, baby in vehicle that is parked in front of business, parents are eating dinner at the restaurant. Checked area, handled.

Oct. 21

12:10 p.m., suspicious subject in the 300 block of June Avenue, woman has returned and is staying in vehicle in front of caller's house. Vehicle has been moved.

6:30 p.m., suspicious conditions in the 700 block of Eighth Street Southwest, caller can hear voices in house on security app on cell phone; two dogs should be at residence, back door may have been left unlocked. Checked residence, all appears fine.

7:29 p.m., illegal camping reported on Jetty Road, logged for information; will check to see who owns the tent at a later time.

9:32 p.m., caller said he took a wrong turn at West Beaver Hill Road and does not want to continue driving. Located truck, assistance rendered.

Oct. 22

7:56 a.m., assisted fire department at 230 Second St., woman on cell was in back room, observed possible electrical fire, bakery in front. Paged Bandon Fire Department, assistance rendered. 

10:57 a.m., driving complaint in the 800 block of First Street SE, older style black Jeep drove past caller going 80 or 90 mph. Area checked, unable to locate.

1:06 p.m., as the result of a traffic stop, cited driver in the area of U.S. Highway 101 and Beach Loop on a charge of driving while suspended. Ticket placed on vehicle, driver refused to accept.

1:46 p.m., woman on cell reporting person is threatening her in the 1000 block of Portland Avenue. Checked area, unable to locate.

2:19 p.m., shoplifter just left 680 Second Street Southeast, woman in pink sweatshirt, jeans, red bag. Arrested Cynthia Elta Libbett, 53, of Bandon on a charge of third-degree theft. Trespassed from the creamery. Taken to Coos County Jail.

11:20 p.m., dispute in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue, caller said suspect is coming down from a high and she requested police, is afraid for her life. Arrested Robert Lee Senn, 36, of Bandon, on a charge of second-degree disorderly conduct and parole violation. 

Oct. 23

3:33 a.m.., follow-up to above report, back-pack left behind with drugs inside in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue. Unable to locate, logged for information.

5:57 a.m., prowler reported in the 1100 block of 12th Street Southeast, caller observed subject in all-dark clothing crouching below a window, set motion light off and then subject crawled to east side of the house. Checked residence, unable to locate.

8:47 a.m., deceased woman in the 100 block of 13th Street Southwest. Call transferred to Bay Cities Ambulance. Victim removed by Amling-Schroeder.

1:36 p.m., assisted ambulance at business in 2700 block of Oregon Avenue with elderly woman who fell into one of the pits. Is conscious and breathing. Caller transferred to Bay Cities Ambulance, who requested manpower assistance from Bandon Fire Department. Paged BFD.

4:43 p.m., Juvenile problem; approximately 12-year-old boy with blond hair is hitchhiking in the areas of U.S. Highway 101 and Riverside Drive. Suspect is runaway from Belloni Boys Ranch. Boy given over to Juvenile Department, detained by probation officer.

Oct. 24

12:14 a.m., suspicious vehicle in the Ray's Food Place parking lot, 66 Michigan Ave. Vehicle's owner left note advising they are working on getting it moved. Handled.

1:09 a.m., suspicious subjects are carrying property in the area of Fillmore Avenue and Sixth Street. Contacted both subjects, they got the property from the church for free.

10:44 a.m., disorderly conduct reported in the 900 block of 11th Street Southeast, subject at location, assistance rendered, subject calmed down for now and Southern Coos Hospital agreed to see him.

6:51 p.m., warrant service in the 90 block of June Avenue Southeast, out with wanted subject. Arrested Benjamin Michael Taylor, 23, of Bandon, on an outstanding warrant. Taken to Coos County Jail.
