Nov. 13

6:46 a.m., welfare check on person in the 1000 block of Sixth Street Southwest.

12:50 p.m., patrol request for the 700 block of Spyglass Lane.

12:54 p.m., phone line down in the area of 11th and Alleghany. Notified Frontier, on scene.

1:04 p.m., disturbance reported at Price ‘N Pride, 65 10th St. S.E.

3:09 p.m., assisted person in vehicle that lost two bales of hay in the roadway of U.S. Highway 101 and Fillmore Avenue. Roadway cleared.

5:04 p.m., arrested Larry Wayne King, 38, of Bandon in the Bandon Shopping Center, 66 Michigan Ave., on a charge of violating a restraining order. Taken to Coos County jail.

5:12 p.m., report of an intoxicated person in the Bandon Shopping Center, 66 Michigan Ave. Man warned, leaving area.

6:17 p.m., intoxicated man back at the store out front. Warned and advised to leave the area.

7:31 p.m., suspicious man at store in the Bandon Shopping Center again. Officer flagged down by citizen in front of Ray’s. Arrested Andrew Jason Paul, 30, of Gold Beach on a charge of second-degree criminal trespassing. Taken to Coos County jail.

8 p.m., anonymous woman called to say a dog is barking in the area of 10th and Grand. Checked area, all quiet.

10:08 p.m., assisted public with vehicle lockout on Chicago Street.

Nov. 14

2:58 p.m., dump truck dumped gravel in the road at mile post 275 on U.S. Highway 101, causing cracks in caller’s vehicle windows. Information relayed to Bandon police, caller transferred to Oregon State Police. Parties exchanged information. 

9:20 p.m., man and woman fighting in the 90 block of 17th Street Southeast. Not physical, subjects left residence. 

Nov. 15

4:01 p.m., arrested Roman R. Urquidez, 31, of Bandon, at 65 10th St. S.E. on an outstanding warrant charging fourth-degree domestic felony on charges of strangulation, menacing and harassment. Taken to Coos County jail on a bail retainer of $25,000.

Nov. 16

12:33 p.m., suspicious circumstances, two men sitting down and drinking beer across from the liquor store at 11th and Alabama. No crime occurred. 

2:31 p.m., welfare check on a distraught woman in the 800 block of Division Avenue. Woman told officer she is fine, just going through a difficult time. 

2:39 p.m., driving complaint from caller on cell phone. Vehicle swerving. Logged for information.

Nov. 17

12:15 a.m., security check at the Arcade Tavern, 135 Alabama Ave. Advised person to contact his probation officer Monday morning.

12:33 a.m., as the result of a traffic stop, arrested Glen Dallas Gayhart, 51, of Bandon on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Taken to Coos County jail, vehicle towed by Mast Bros.

3:40 a.m., non-injury accident near Second and Ohio, no one in or around. Strong odor of alcohol coming from vehicle. North Bend Towing now has vehicle.

9:28 a.m., homeless transients living in abandoned property owned by gas company on Oregon Avenue. Check buildings, apparent transient activity in the area. Caller advised to notify owner to lock the building. 

10:53 a.m., on location between 10th and 11th and Alabama for suspicious conditions — man leaning over his steering wheel. He is waiting for help to arrive and assist with broken down vehicle. 

Nov. 18

11:04 a.m., large tote in roadway in the area of U.S. Highway 101 and Grand Avenue. Hazard removed. 

1:06 p.m., assisted Bay Cities Ambulance on a medical call in the 49000 block of U.S. Highway 101, suspicious in nature. Assistance rendered.

1:19 p.m., arrested Justin Perry, 35, of Bandon, on a warrant charging parole violation. Taken to Coos County jail.

5:51 p.m., caller advised he assaulted his father in the 1200 block of June Avenue. Arrested Michael R. Hart, 18, of Bandon on a charge of fourth-degree assault. Taken to Coos County jail.

7:20 p.m., line down in the area of 13th Street Southwest. Appears to be a phone line, not a traffic hazard.

11:33 p.m., large fight at the Arcade Tavern, 135 Alabama. Arrested Coy Daniel Smith, 39, of Bandon, on a charge of disorderly conduct, interfering with a police officer.
