BANDON -- Alive After Five returns to Bandon from 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 23. This event is free and features art, music, food, refreshments, scavenger hunt and other downtown activities. Many Old Town Bandon shops will be offering bargains.

A wine walk is one of the highlights of Alive After Five. To participate in the wine walk, pick up commemorative glasses and walking maps for $10, available at Klutch and Edgewaters when the event starts at 5 p.m.

This year’s Alive After Five will have a different theme for each event of the season. The June 23 theme is Arts Night Out. Meet and greet with local artists, enjoy arts and crafts, listen to music, see demos from artisans and enjoy food and drink specials all evening. Local artists interested in displaying their work who do not have a current venue in Old Town should contact dana@greaterbandon.org to be matched up with a participating downtown shop or establishment.

The Greater Bandon Association is once again organizing the Alive After Five activities. Proceeds will benefit upcoming local public events in Bandon such as the Community Christmas Tree, the Gorse Blossom Festival, which brings business and visitors to town in mid-February and the Volunteer of the Month recognition program. Call 541-297-2342 for details.

"Don't miss out on this fun night of community bonding and help us make downtown Bandon come alive," said GBA chairman Harv Schubothe.

This year’s Alive After Five events are scheduled for June 23, July 4, Aug. 25, Sept. 22 and Oct. 27.
