No public services or viewing will be held for Katherine Helen Walters 82, of North Bend. Cremation Rites have been held at Ocean View Memory Gardens Crematory in Coos Bay. Her urn will be buried next to her parents at Green Hills Cemetery in San Pedro, Calif.

Katherine was born July 21, 1927, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Rose (Albright) Walters and died Oct. 28, 2009, in North Bend.

She is survived by her brother, Ted Walters and his wife, Lorraine and family; nephew, Walter Harrel and his wife, Diane and family; niece, Louray McGrale and family; longtime special friends and neighbors for many years, Richard May and Lee Henderson; a number of other nieces, nephews, their families and special friends.

Contributions in her memory can be made to Baycrest Village, 3959 Sheridan Ave., North Bend, OR 97459, where Katherine spent the last days of her life.
