Thank you. I think the strength comes from the love for Leah. I don't think I am doing anything any other Mother wouldn't do in this kind of situation. It is what it is - She is gone and NOTHING will ever bring her back - but as her Mother it is my job to seek justice. She deserves it and NOONE should get away with murder. Noone. Not only does Leah deserve justice - our community deserves to be safe and rid of the freak that took her life. I PRAY TO GOD NO OTHER LIVES ARE LOST FROM THIS INDIVIDUAL. Remember - he is still out there and free to kill again. PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SAFE!

Thank you for your comment. First of all, I am sorry to hear about your friend. You reminded me of something I thought about years ago. For nearly a decade now I have sat back and watched so many young children being abducted/murdered on tv. High profile cases such as Natalee Hollaway, Haleigh Cummings, Caylee Anthony, Miranda Gaddis and Ashley Pond, and the list goes on and on. When I watched these tragedies unfold I've noticed that in nearly every case the sheriff from their counties are on there pleading for information. Most all of them also had tears streaming down their faces. In all the years that Leah has been gone now I must ask..... Where was/is OUR Sheriff? Not once do I remember seeing him defending "Our Murdered Teen". Why? That is a question I would really like answered.

To Just An Observer -
I went to Leah's website and it works just fine. Yes, it would be appropriate to remember Jeremy Bright and Lynn Donaldson and even others whose cases remain unsolved. The reason they aren't mentioned in this article is because this was about Leah's birthday. I pray for Jeremy to be found ALOT. I can't imagine that scenario. Sad. Also, there IS a Remembrance Day for all Murdered Victims....It is September 25th.
Thank you also Just An Observer for the best wishes.....and I do believe she will never be forgotten - However......JUSTICE WILL BE FOUND. Wait and see!

Let's also remember the boy who disappeared at the Coos County fair and the killing of Lynn Lee Donaldson that took place at the time the Chinese family that owned Ming's was killed on Telegraph Hill. No doubt others can recall other unsolved murders. We need a Remembrance Day for those unfortunate people and those they left behind to grieve over their loss.
The Leah Freeman case was unique in terms of investigative power brought to bear. The FBI came in and they couldn't crack a thing. As I remember, the news reports talked about how Coquille clammed up. As the years went by we read so many crazy crime/police stories that came out of that town. I wonder if the Leah skeleton will ever come out of the closet?
Best wishes Cory. Leah will never be forgotten even if justice is never found.
