County Dems awards dinner

The Coos County Democrats will host radio celebrity Peter B. Collins at the Annual Awards Dinner at the Barn in Bandon on Saturday.
The event begins with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
Collins, a veteran San Francisco on-air personality and talk show host, will deliver the keynote address.
The Coos County Democrat of the Year Award with be presented by state Sen. Joanne Verger, D-Coos Bay. State Rep. Arnie Roblan, D-Coos Bay, will also be on hand to meet and greet the public.
County Commissioners Nikki Whitty and Kevin Stufflebean will be in attendance as well as other state and local elected officials.
Rick Goche will be the Master of Ceremonies, and the event will feature a silent auction.
The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at Sozos Tea & Coffee House in North Bend, Oregon Wine Cellars in downtown Coos Bay, Java Jones in Empire, and Marinos Boots & Saddles. Tickets will also be available at the door.
