The city of Coos Bay and the Oregon Downtown Development Association will hold a public meeting to present two conceptual redevelopment scenarios for the Hollering Place project.

Planners hope to get comments from the public about the development proposed for Empire.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Empire Fire Hall located at 189 South Wall St.

Based on community feedback, the city will choose a preferred concept (or a combination of the two concepts) to move forward to the next phase of design development. For more information, call City Manager Chuck Freeman at 269-8912.

I hope that the city has something that says huge passing LNG tankers will not cause the hollering place to shut down as places in Boston do. If you want a list of what must close, Jody Mccaffree has it. If they dont they may be wasting our tax money.
