Kelly Carestia and Tim Franson have announced their engagement. The couple plans to be married on Sept. 13 in a ceremony at the United Evangelical Free Church in Klamath Falls, followed by a reception at the Shilo Inn.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ralph and Betty Carestia of Klamath Falls. The groom-to-be is the son of Jeff and Elaine Franson of Bandon.

Carestia is a 2002 graduate of Henley High School. She is currently attending Concordia University and studying to be an elementary school teacher.

Franson is a 2003 graduate of Bandon High School. He is attending Oregon Institute of Technology, where he is majoring in electronics engineering technology and applied mathematics.
