The Downtown Coos Bay Farmers Market added a Sunday market. Market Director Sarah Crawford said there was a small turnout of vendors and customers and she would like to see more on future Sundays. “We had five vendors and there was a ton of produce,” Crawford said. “There were lots of people stopping in, but not many locals.” Both the Sunday and Wednesday farmers’ markets will continue through October, with no Sunday market during the Blackberry Arts Festival on Aug. 24 or the Bay Area Fun Festival on Sept. 21. The market is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. For vendor information, leave a message at 266-9706 or vendor applications can be downloaded at http://coosbaydowntown.org/.
