Myrtle Point
The Myrtle Point School District will open registration next week. Here are the schedules for the grade school and junior/senior high.
Myrtle Crest School
Registration for new and returning students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
n Thursday, Aug. 21: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
n Friday, Aug. 22: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Myrtle Point Jr/Sr High School
Registration is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but closed from noon to 1 p.m. on the following days:
n Aug. 20: grades 10-12
n Aug. 21: grades 7-9
n Aug. 22: new students
Coquille
Registration for Coquille Schools will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18; and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at all district schools.
Powers
Powers school registration for children entering kindergarten will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20. Children entering kindergarten must turn 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, and be up-to-date on their immunizations.
All students in grades kindergarten through fifth who were in attendance on the last day of school in June, will register on the first day of school. New students will register from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Students in seventh through ninth grades will register from 9 to 11 a.m.; and students in grade 10 through 12, register from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21.
Immunizations
Immunizations required for enrollment are five doses of DPT; four doses of polio; one dose of varicella (chickenpox); two doses of measles; one dose of mumps; one dose of rubella; three doses of Hepatitis B; and two doses of Hepatitis A. Seventh graders additionally need one dose of TDAP.
