People driving on the Coos Bay Garden Club 2008 Town and Country Garden Tour will motor to some of the area’s finest gardens this weekend.

The garden tour will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The tour is held each year to raise funds for a scholarship given to a college-bound Marshfield High School senior.

This year’s theme is “How does your garden grow?” The tour revisits some of the gardens that have been viewed in the past.

Tickets and maps are $7 per person and can be purchased in Coos Bay at the Grange, Farr’s Hardware, Umpqua Oaks Nursery and Garden Elements; at Farr’s Hardware at Coquille; at the Feed Store in Myrtle Point; and at Highway 101 Plants in Bandon.
