So, you want to go to New York to visit your favorite café. Have I got a deal for you…
And, Earl…watch your words! With the updated domestic surveillance laws now in place, comments that include “blow-up” and “airport” could get you in a heap of trouble.

You guys are right on with your assessments of the bay area. People might not like to hear the harshness but the truth always hurts. There is so much potential in that area and people prevent success. We've blown SO MANY opportunities to improve the economy in this area. I'm a positive guy but I see no hope for this area at all. I had to move so I could support my family and give my kids more opportunity to become better educated by seeing economic growth. Coos Bay/North Bend just has never caught on to success.

Gee, that's a great idea, subsidize the airlines ! I wonder why no one has thought of that. Hell buddy, we've been doing that for years. Geeze.
And with $25,000,000.00 for that brand-spanking new terminal guess what? We ain't got NO money honey.
Nice try

You stupid people are the REAL reason America is falling apart. 99% of the world would love to use the resources we just waste away. You are mostly a bunch of dumb, fat, redneck meth heads that love to kill small animals for fun and drive big trucks.
I would cut airline service to you people as well.
Honestly.

Instead of spending billions in other places, let's spend some money to help all the airlines across the national infrastructure!

Not that we got a great board out of it. I certainly wouldn't vote for some of our current board members again. Who knows, I might even vote for the people who haven't had experience, maybe they'd be more realistic, honest, and understanding of the financial situation. Hindsights always 20/20 I guess...

Speaking of sawmills and logs, I fought and picketed the ports to stop the shipment of raw logs, to protect OUR own mill jobs. Friends were arrested doing so.
I don't recall seeing you out there fighting for your jobs though. Perhaps your mill hadn't moved to Mexico yet.

Those meetings are boring and a waste of time. I've watched many meetings on TV and I shake my head the whole time...What a joke.I would never attend and sit through anything like that. Citizens get their time to talk and the council members look at them like their stupid. Look where those meetings have gotten us so far....nowhere. We've gone backwards.

To "Outside Looking In". How about we leave the City "as is" and not improve it's delapidated , decaying appearance. Many wonder why business' dont want to come here....well take a look around..what business would want to be associated with a depressed area. You should be thankful for Bandon Dunes for bringing new "educated" life to the area....or would you prefer a sawmill?
Duhh, I missed that one Einstein, I was bandaging my scraped knuckles....

I agree that losing the flight to Portland is a bad thing for everybody having to fly North. If I need to go to Portland, I normally drive anyway.
For flight connections with non-stop flights, SFO might be a better choice, though.
My last flight to Chicago via Portland took 12 hours, and 14 (!) hours back, due to bad connections via Seattle and Portland. This could have been way faster through SFO.
