 Q: I see that the Chinese restaurant, Sun Wah, is no longer open. Do they ever plan to reopen? If not, is there a possibility of getting some recipes? My family is really disappointed that they have closed. In our opinion, they were the best.

A: Carl Chin is Sun Wah’s listed owner on the business license on file with the city of Coos Bay. The license has not been kept current during the past year, according to the Public Works Department, so it is unlikely the restaurant will be reopening.

A local phone number for Chin has been disconnected and the business number rings without an answering machine.

A county business listing also includes an address for a West Covina, Calif., financial company. A search turned up the company’s address, but no phone number for the financial company.

A further search of the Realtors Multiple Listing Service (RMLS) did not turn up a listing for the sale of the property.

We were unable to locate the restaurant’s owners to try to get those recipes.
