Hook up that boat trailer.
The docks at the U.S. Bureau of Land Management boat ramp on the North Spit have been installed this week and are ready for public use. The docks are removed from the water each fall to prevent them from being damaged by winter storms, and then placed back in the water in the spring.
“We were able to install the docks a little earlier than usual this year,” Nancy Zepf, BLM’s recreation planner said in a press release. “The staff was available and the weather seems to be cooperating, so it worked out.”
Facilities at the BLM boat ramp include a launching ramp, docks, boat trailer parking, restrooms and a pay phone. For more information, those interested can contact the BLM at 756-0100. |
